Fishchick
The accepted name is Boraras brigittae. Also known in the hobby as Rasbora brigittae and Rasbora urophthalma They are not an allowable import, but commonly come in as Rasbora hengeli Very pretty little fish, do best in good sized schools (20 or more) Great photo! splendidbetta
Why is it known under different species names? Is it a case of name changing over time of the same species, or are there several similar fish that are confused for each other?

Callatya
I believe a bunch of the Rasbora species just got moved over to Boraras. Fishbase should have more details. I wouldn't be surprised if a number of these got through under an allowable name. The B. maculatus I have were barely recognisable when I bought them, very tiny and bleached out and apparently the standard packing for them is several hundred. If you bought these in small enough then they could easily blend in with the masses.
