BettaObsessed
I purchased this fish as a female. It was flaring at the other fish in the tank and I thought it looked more like a male. I got it home and put it in the tank separated from the others to wait and see and now I'm even more confused! forever_and_a_day
seems female to me, plus CTPK's aren't very common so i find it unlikely that you picked a male one up. her topline looks quite girly (nice and smooth usually, males tend to be more dippy) any sign of an egg spot or ovaries? some females can be pretty aggro, so that's not a clear indication of sex anyone more experienced feel free to completely trash my theories XD
shadoh
A male CTPK would have more finnage. The topline and anal fin also says female to me. When flaring does she have a small girly flare, or does s/he have a big male type "beard"?
Fletch
Female. :-)
BettaObsessed
I had been thinking female this week when watching her. She is very skittish around the males but flares at the other 2 females. I will have to go and check for an egg spot now and then get her nicely conditioned for the spawn tank. She will now be replacing the blue female CT :-D

BettaObsessed
Thanks I'm glad she has turned out to be female, she goes perfectly with my CT male. Now I just have to find a female for my gold CT male and I will be one happy camper. Not easy, its very slim pickings out there when it comes to females.
