6ftaquaman Posted February 1, 2013 Report Share Posted February 1, 2013 I swear by ehiem, maybe I have been lucky but both my filter and heater (300w) have had no issues with what-so-ever. The heater keeps the 6ft tank at a constant temperature. I have heard a few stories from people not happy with them but I cannot complain. We have this joke about if your going to purchase anything you need to ask........was it manufactured on a wednesday? the theory behind this is that most factory workers are still recovering from a big weekend on monday and tuesday and thursday and friday all they are doing is looking forward to a big weekend again therefore leaving WEDNESDAY as the only day any quality is manufactured. 6ftaquaman Posted February 2, 2013 Report Share Posted February 2, 2013 gee 3 things come to mind that may be why that happened 1) poor quality (which I personally dont find ehiem to be) 2) it was dropped at some stage (probably before you even bought it) or 3) it has been left on while not being submerged in water.
