Yanagi
Big ol' 'oscar' pellets.. Big cichlid food, lol. Either crush it up or use it as live culture food, grindals etc will eat it. I'm so jealous. :P
Sarah
Aah, thanks. Might use it as culture food... it's been in the back of the cupboard for years upon years, probably slightly stale, but I'm not tasting it to test that! Yanny, if you want to feel the "experience" of the fish room, feel free to come over anytime and share the water changes! I'll make you as much buttery popcorn/other junk food as you like. melbournebetta
if you learn to roll, Yan might come over and do water changes allllll daaaaaayyyyyyy Looks good sarah, I love your version of messy - you should see mine! x

Sarah
Thanks Ness, that's the plan! Haha, I'm a *slight* ( ) neat-freak/perfectionist, so that's definitely what I call "messy", although am aware it isn't quite everybody's call. But Yan, do they give you popcorn? Sarah
Please, we all know you whinge all day, doesn't seem to get you quite what you want (aka - chairs, better AC, Betta barracks finished, scorpions/axolotls gone, computer back in the office, etc etc etc)
Matt_95
Sarah, you can't mix angel fish and discus.... That was my plan until I did research, they transmit pathogens and parasites to each other among other reasons, I went with the cheaper and easier option of angels. Sarah
Really? Yan mixes hers and said it's fine if I do that?
Bettarazzi
Wow! I hope my new fishroom in the new house looks nearly as good! Was going to start a thread about my temporary fishroom but I think I'm all embarrassed now. Your fishroom is way bigger than mine is going to be. Sarah
D'aw, 'Razzi. I'm sure yours will be awesome no matter the size! Please do post photos - don't be embarrassed at all, we'll love to see and I'm sure it's great! :D
Matt_95
Google it and make up your own mind, it's controversial. Read a lot of articles though, not just one....
Sarah
Ooh, then again - but what if the fish are healthy? With any combination of fish, you do run the risk of spreading disease and whatnot.. what's so bad about mixing these two? Besides this mixing disease, they're compatible. Matt_95
Google Sarah.... Angels are far more aggressive. There are diseases present in captive and wild angels that don't affect them that affect discus. Edited April 18, 2012 by Matt_95
Bettarazzi
Sounds like an interesting topic which deserves a thread all of its own. No?

Bettarazzi
Just start another one I think. I couldn't find a neat way of splitting this one and still have it make sense.
