Fletch
Does Val flower??? I think I can see a white flower in the middle of the plant, just above base. Not sure. Anyone????Photo. Zoom right in which makes it grainy but the best my iPhone will do?
Matt_95
The picture isn't loading but val should flower above the water, it has small white flowers with 4 petals if I remember correctly.
fishbites
As Matt says..... Val gets separate male / female flowers - the female flower grows to the surface and moves with the water currents.... male flower is released and floats to the surface releasing pollen and the sweeping female flower collects the floating pollen to become fertilised.... easier to propagate by runners than by seed though..... your water conditions must be good for it to want to flower .... Matt_95
That sounds like something I would do the female flowers look similar to aponageton flowers I think, not the petals but the way it is grouped if that makes sense.
