Matt_95
I used to love that book! I even had the memory cards. Yours looks like a female, even less colour than they normally have.
Sarah
Ooohh I loved that book too! Wonder is we still have it... Colourless rainbow-fish. Not like the one in the book. It was so kind to give up it's scales... :)
Yanagi
I may be way off, not too good with the rainbows but possibly Lake Kutubu rainbow?
Matt_95
Sometimes to see the colour they need the light at a certain angle, I think sunlight will show up their colours really well. And Yan's guess does look right. There are quite a few rainbow experts over at the other forum, they may be able to give you a more definative answer :)
Sarah
That looks exactly like it! Thanks Yan. :)
Sarah
Was looking at the tank, mum walked past, and told her this fish was a rainbow fish. She then told me it was, well done.. and that it is one of the native ones! Then said, oh Sarah - we've had them before, don't look so shocked... I know a thing or two about fish, and don't you forget it!

Sarah
Yeah, she wins... this time round. Although I said something about not knowing what it was a few days ago, said she didn't know. I guess she wasn't paying attention (have noticed sometimes she tunes out the fish talk).. that or she remembered. Either way, I was pretty surprised. shadoh
:giggle: Mum: 1 Sarah: 0... I guess she just wanted to make it an educational experience for you. Look at the research you've just done to id the fish...

brettc777
I may be way off, not too good with the rainbows but possibly Lake Kutubu rainbow? This most likely correct. Although if it is one its not native but a PNG fish.
