What paint to use

I have just put some divders in to a couple of 3 ft tanks for breeding and was wanting to paint the sides so, the bettas cant see each other.

Does any one know of a good brand of paint to use that wont harm the fish?

Not sure about paint. Why not card them. Then you can remove if required.

You can't really card them if it is going into the water, as flipper said the dividers went into the tanks.

I don't really know about the paint sorry, but I would make sure it is waterproof. Don't want it coming up..

I card the dividers in my barracks with plastic file dividers. That way I have the option to de-card to exercise my bettas.

Plastic file dividers are a great idea! I think I'm going to have to borrow that. :cheer:

That's what I use in breeding tank. I have fry one side and dad on other. Going to keep dad in with fry next time.

I vote for the plastic file covers - easy to cut to size... slide the bottom down into the gravel and clip the top to the glass divider and it works well.....

Another thing I tried with no problems was to cover the glass divider with a piece of contact (you know that coloured plastic book covering you get from the $2 shops for $2 a roll?)

I wouldn't paint glass to put into the water....

I was going to suggest buying perspex cut to size. You can buy clear, or opaque coloured perspex to suite your need.
