  1. All those years must mean you are wise and full of........what's the word................wisdom. That's it. Hahaha:-).
  2. Happy Birthday Wayne. Bet you can keep track of the years when it's your b'day unlike New Years. Ha ha :-)
  3. Any chance you can take a photo of the overflow from beanie box? Looking at doing something a bit smaller but same idea. Thought you were going to use guttering for overflow. What changed your mind? Where did you get your beanie boxes from and how much? Cheers mate. Great setup.
  4. Quick update. Check styrofoam box for leaks. Have noticed this morning that floor was wet. Not complaining considering the weather up north. After further investigation, there seems to be the slowest leak possible in one corner. Carpet drenched. Am now using same setup in a tank I had spare. Very lucky that it all fit in tank with no adjustments.
  5. Nice fish. My father had Frontosa breeding in community tank. Never seen dwarf ones. Funny that the smaller fish more agro.
  6. Basic T shape with sump running length of back. No way out. Old spawning tank. That's it. You got it. Well done. :-)
  7. Sponge filter pumps water from back section to top left side. Water passes through to back section through right hand side at the bottom corner. This is photo from left side of tank. Sump on left. Hope you can make sense of it.
  8. Now just waiting on my IAL. :-)
  9. This was my old breeding tank but now using it as display tank. This is dad. Loving it. Very macho. And this is the lucky boy. He is in heaven. Loves playing in the current. Won't sit still. Only been in an hour and both there color has just intensified so quickly. Hope you enjoy.
  10. Some really beautiful fish amongst them Jarrod. Just seems to be a different fish each time. Lol
  11. Yea, that's him. She still a bit washed out but we shall see what tomorrow brings. Think there might have been another male in with the females....... All jarred now so will wait and see. Thinking about moving young fry and setting up display tank. Bit early I know but............
  12. Best photos I could get. Only jarred a few hours ago and big difference in color and behavior. Did not realize the change would be so dramatic with the girls untill I saw Jarrods happen before our eyes. All photos of male. Not sure if split is even. Sometimes looks good, sometimes not so good. Will have to wait unti he flares I think. Female looks very even. Can't get photo yet as a bit shy.
  13. No mate, no nests here. Just jarred the rest. Need some of those leaves I think. Never bought on line so must investigate this further. Mine have nothing to build nest under.
  14. These are really deceptive. It won't cause a lot of current in the tank and larger bits of solid waste will still need to be manually removed. These more filter the water and harbor good bacteria for ammonia control. If bubbles are rising from the centre, it is working. A good way to check is I add a small amount of ketapang extract at far end of the tank and you can see it spread through the tank.
  15. Broken toes at that!!!!!! Rofl
  16. Seems a female thing. Lol. I come home from work and whole house changed around. Not good at one am and I kick the lounge. Anything with tanks will take twice as long as expected. Lol
  17. Mate, they were in community tank that is bigger than coffee jar. Never looked like that
  18. Wow. She never had that much color here. Thought she would though. Please note Betta Police............ This has happened 24hrs AFTER separated and jarred. Tell me she doesn't like having her own space..........think I better do the rest tomorrow.
  19. Are they carded. Never really blown a real nest here? What are they in? Glad they are happy.
  20. How they settled in Jarrod?
  21. Let me know how those fish go. If you do alright, I may order a few. Really nice and unusual. Look like bigger fish. Lol
  22. Never seen that last fish before......... beautiful. Where did you get them, are they rare, how big do they grow? How much? Rummy nose great fish. Will let you know if something not right with water quality before any test result...... Love these fish. Will do a search myself for other fish. Sorry, great pics.
