  1. Surprised you don't have one, but am sure you mum has a make up mirror in her foundation(?). All my boys are regularly exercised with a mirror if no sparring partner available. :-)
  2. How does he go with a mirror Sarah. Glad you like him. Thank you for the photos. :-)
  3. They are fine. Sure they would be very happy in that. :-)
  4. Length X height X width (in cm) = divide by 1000 and there's your litres. :-)
  5. Happy Birthday someone. Hope you have a great day. I might even have a drink for you. :-)
  6. Hey Lilly, sponge filters do a great job. To kick start one, when you clean your existing filter our in a bucket of water, use that water to rinse your new filter in. This will add bacteria straight away. Not an instant cycle but a great start. You could also us a pinch of "Pond Start" or similar product. Use dechlorinator and age your water with IAL before use. IAL in tank also. Obviously a heater is required as well. A live plant or two helps as well. Good luck. :-).
  7. Welcome Ken. Fantastic to have another local here. Lots of people hear that are plant livers and have through some old threads, lots of examples of some stunning tanks. Good luck setting it up, pics are a must. :-)
  8. Very nice. Do you have any girls to go with them? Love the red ventrals on number 2. :-)
  9. I hope these are under lock and key Hai. I know it's sad but looking at these I was reminded of the few incidents in recent history where people have been broken into and there tanks picked through. Only the best were stolen. I love looking at the photos and really appreciate it but I would only post pics in the General Discussion as only members can view. I don't mean to upset anyone and I hate bringing it up but just be careful mate. Lots of lowlife around.
  10. Good luck Sarah. I highly recommend spawning before they loose the "Thai Magic". Fingers crossed. :-)
  11. Great score Sarah. Love that orange boy. Glad to have someone else local breeding CT. You are going to breed aren't you?
  12. Lol. That fish looks familiar. :-). Well done. She looks to have settled in.
  13. I have heard somewhere that someone might be spawning similar fish ATM. Might be some nice choices soon. Lol. He is a great find. :-)
  14. Very nice. Did you get a girl to spawn with?
  15. This is what I like to see. Enthusiasm. :-) Lots of paperwork to go through guys. We shall get it up and running as soon as we can. Our main aim was to see if there was anyone interested. Looks like there is a demand so we better get a move on. Stay tuned for updates. All welcome. :-)

    Hi

Welcome to the forum. :-) Any chance of pics??
  17. Welcome to the forum. Harry is stunning. I love that color. Where did you score him from? Also what other fish do you have? Anyway, have a good look around and I hope you enjoy.
  18. Well done mate. I have seen all your fish before, numerous times and I still enjoyed that video. :-)
  19. Or chop up a spare sponge filter and use that. :-)
  20. Yours is very similar now and the best part is that TGE fish can't see each other. That looks clear. I think your design is pretty good.
  21. A fish is only worth what someone is willing to pay. Shops have huge overheads so to compare shop price to amature breeder is not really fair. If you buy a $100 fish from a shop, privately it is probably worth $40. I buy 90% of my fish from shops, good quality shops where I know the quality is there. I have lost more fish after getting given fish or buying from new sources that I have learnt my lesson. With my community tank, I only get from two shops. If the don't have it, I wait. Nothing rare though. :-). I just think our LFS need our support. You may buy cheaper online or privately but our hobby is nothing without LFS. Find a good one, get to know them and you will never pay shelf price again.
  22. Can't wait. There are quite a few of us about to do the same, so it will be great to see how you go. Good luck. :-)
  23. They all look fantastic Sarah. Well done. We might have to come down one day for a squiz. :-)
  24. I had a fantastic day, it was great to catch up. It was also a relief to know that we are all experiencing the same issues in our spawn tanks. I think we may just have to wait a bit longer till it warms up and hopefully it will turn around for us. :-). someone came and joined us for a while which was fantastic as the shop was pretty busy. I think we made a nice mess going through all the fish that were not unpacked yet. Sooo many nice fish it was hard to not go crazy. Keep an eye out guys on her YouTube site as the fish are just amazing. Some stunning VT as well. Jarrod picked up a few more nice fish, but will leave that up to him. :-) I would also keep an eye out for a new member that has an amazing amount of quality fish that she has promised photos of. :-). Say no more......... Thanks for the moss Sarah and also to Jarrod for the red girl. Thanks to everyone, I had a great day and already looking forward to the next one. :-) Paul Lol. Same time posted. :-)
