I'll try and get new photos soon, will use lots of light. Have just put the male in the spawn tank. Will introduce the girl in the chimney probably tomorrow night - they look very ready to spawn now! Just noticed on the female, one side of her body seems bigger than the other..

Didn't know they were illegal in the NT! Would be much to hard to keep cool though. Captain Slow is gorgeous! Looks very happy & healthy. :)

I really like his dorsal too. I'll try the torch/flash, thanks for the tip - and thank you for him! Woah... this is the biggest girl I've ever seen in person, hard to imagine bigger!

You have axolotls?? Pictures please!!!! I really don't know the first thing about lights, so I'm really no help with your question sorry! You probably already know, but since axies do not have eyelids, they don't like lights. So if you don't have live plants in the tank, lights are really only so we can see those gorgeous marshmellows. As long as they don't give off heat, it should be nice though! Oooh... I notice you are in Darwin - how do you go about Summertime with them? It's a nightmare here in Sydney! I need a chiller...

Recently acquired 4 trios of these guppies. Seems I only have 1 male left now though.. not sure what happened there..

Thank you for the comments everyone. Just finished setting up the spawn tank which has been staring at me. I'll keep everyone posted how they go. Oh and Busman - I don't think your females need conditioning! :lol:

Gorgeous new pair... some breeder really did a great job with them. Not the best pictures, best I could do for now though. Female is MASSIVE, biggest girl I've ever owned. Lots of attitude. Male is very active, and is really trying to get to the female! Vid -
