  1. They are lovely, I certainly enjoyed, Anthony. :)
  2. Axolotl tank = 12*C... very cold. Shoulder deep in it, both arms for 10mins = very cold arms and kinda numb arms. My axies are lucky I love them!

      Haha they better!

My ones are so spoilt.. like to be hand-fed.. none of this eating off-the-ground/hunting stuff.

  3. Wow, love it! Great set up - it's so neat, and the stands are a great way of saving space. :)
  4. Thanks Jarrod... colourful is what I'm aiming at - as long as they can live without any to-the-death fights, should be good. Thanks Matt - shall look those up. We need to go shopping = Matt picking out a bunch of fish he likes and begging me to buy them...
  5. I don't think I'm getting those ones... seem a little too violent.. Matt made me a list (he always does, but this time I might listen haha). I'll pull it up. He suggested one male of each following: white night hap electric blue maleri gold peacock dragons blood peacock OB peacock Flame tail peacock rubin red peacock red empress Do you think that's a good plan?
  6. Mmm... that never crossed my mind, quite a nice idea actually.... *tempted* Ah, but I've decided to go into the world of cichlids! After I saw yours (what were they.. five striped something somethings?).. I had to go Cichlids. Not a bad thing though. :)
  7. Are you... challanging my honor?? Maybe I'll have to do Wayne's way just to not be a cheater! Harry... most of my tanks are empty at the moment after the mass death I've had this year. They are either cycling, waiting to be filled (hehe), or outside (better bring those in soon). So maybe pics once it's all stocked!
  8. I did! Then I found a shortcut that worked quite as well. :embarrass:
  9. Thanks Wayne! Did go with Matt's way though haha - 305L. :)
  10. Oh thanks for the replies! Umm... think I'd go with bucket counting haha.
  11. Ah, shame. Hopefully he'll do better when it's warmer! Well, that's one fish down on the guessing list... ahhh... how many more?
  12. Wow... stunning! Is he part of your mystery spawn maybe?
  13. Nice idea, 'Razzi.. I've been meaning to pick one up for spot cleaning in the axie tank. Somebody gave me a tip they are cheapest at the Reject Shop (she said $3.50). If not, private kitchen stores - stores like Kmart don't stock them.
  14. I'm curious as to the volume of my corner tank. I know how to find the capacity of a rectangular tank - but does anybody know the formula for a corner tank? It's 4ft across at it's widest... but other than that, it's a bit of an awkward shape. Top was a bit hard to get a photo off - Thanks!
  15. Bussy, I'm not one to stare at my reflection haha, I'm sure mum would have one. I've been meaning to give him a bit of a spar, don't want him getting lazy now! Thanks LMF! Haha, gotta love the little accessories that are made for Bettas!
  16. Thanks Paul - I love him! On the lookout for a mirror, have been wanting to try him with one. Thanks Jarrod. Yep, sometimes they love it, sometimes they don't! Maybe tomorrow!
  17. Thought I'd just give a quick update for my gorgeous boy... who is still unnamed... Not the best photos... but better than nothing. He isn't feeling very photogenic today. His home. Not the fanciest around, but he loves it. Java Moss is very green, although it seems to look slightly brownish in the pic. And the boy, who decided, after his dinner was all gone... he didn't want anything to do with me, and left.
  18. Happy Birthday to a very special person! Have a wonderful day someone!!! x
  19. Happy Birthday someone! Have a wonderful day!!!! xxx

  20. Oh no! What a shame! What exactly happened to them?
  21. Aahh... sneaky! Here you had me worried that something disastrous happened and the plants all died/had to be thrown.
  22. What happened to the tank then... could the plants not be saved?
  23. Hehe, I know Brooke from the axie forum, Ness. So I'm already tight on the axie info. :P
  24. Welcome to the forum, Brooke! Great to have you here. :)
  25. It seems Rummy Nose Tetras have TWO dorsals... never noticed the smaller one at the back before, saw it on one, then noticed they all had it - thought it was some sort of 'lump' disease, and I was going to lose them all! What a relief to find it was a fin. Phew. GEE fish, please don't try and give me a heartattack!

    1. Yanagi

      Yanagi

It's called the adipose fin and all tetra have it. :)

      Aah, thanks Yan!

Never noticed it before... guess I never overlooked finnage past Betta. :)
