As we all get more used to showing fish and develop an eye for what makes a good show fish, we all stand a better chance. Let's not forget that the more fish an individual enters, the better chance they stand of placing. It would be nice to have an endless supply to choose from though Don't forget we have the big Betta Show this September!!!! There will be plenty more home grown bettas as well as interstate entries I'm most proud of my 3rd place Metallic Blue PK boy, who I bred :D

Mate, I can see how easy it can be to end up with 12+ strains. Especially if I get it into my head to create my own strain, and believe me, the mad scientist gene runs rampant through my DNA. For now I must be strong. Mind you that resolve will probably get thrown out the window once the chance of painting with a new genetic pallette is presented to me ;)

I have a steel blue female I plan to spawn him with. With luck, I should get more like him. Busman, can't answer that without giving the game away...

The male of this pair used to be a much lighter colour and have more of a grizzled pattern to his body. He has changed so much, I've stopped describing him as grizzled and now call him marble.
